Principal's Message

Welcome to the Tyndall Elementary School website. It is my privilege to serve as principal of one of Florida’s BEST schools. Tyndall earned the designation "A" school in 2008 under the state’s school recognition program. This honor was based on testing of the school’s third, fourth and fifth graders in the areas of writing, reading, science and mathematics. This is the eighth year Tyndall has earned the "A" grade. Tyndall Elementary prides itself in being a school with high expectations for student achievement.

Our campus is located on Tyndall Air Force Base and serves approximately 750 students in grades pre kindergarten through fifth grade. Though about eighty percent of our students are military dependents our school is not a Department of Defense school. We are one of twenty-one elementary schools in Bay District. In February of 2003 Tyndall was named one of Florida's top twenty elementary schools by the Florida School Report and the Council for Educational Change.

Tyndall offers a program designed to appeal to all learners. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade participate in special areas such as art, music and physical education daily. Teachers in these areas are certified and students testify these are some of their favorite times in the school day. Students are supported by two guidance counselors, a media specialist and speech pathologist as well as teachers certified in gifted and exceptional student education.

 I am so excited and proud to be the new assistant principal at Tyndall Elementary School. I am looking forward to getting to know all the students, meeting the parents, and working with the entire staff that make Tyndall one of the premier schools in Florida.  GO THUNDERBIRDS!
