Yes, the new 2009-2010 Sunshine State Young Readers list has been announced! Students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to read these books over the summer. We all had a great time reading the SSYRA books last year, and we will vote for our favorite this year too. All 3rd-5th grade students who read at least 3 of the books will get to vote. But wait, there's more! This year LHE's 4th graders will participate in the Battle of the Books. It is fierce but fun competition against 4th grade teams from our own school, then against 4th grade teams from other Bay District schools. The Battle of the Books is all about.....can you guess? If you guessed the new SSYRA books you are correct. So have fun this summer and read these great books.
