We are saddened to say goodbye to Mrs. Carol Ann Whitehurst, our wonderful Assistant Principal.  Mrs. Whitehurst has been on staff here at Tommy Smith Elementary School since 2007. She has served well and she will be missed.  We congratulate her on her new appointment to be the Assistant Principal at Hiland Park Elementary School beginning July 1, 2009.

Tommy Smith Elementary has received an "A"grade for 2007-2008 as designated by the Florida Department of Education.  It takes everyone -- our students, our teachers and staff, and parents -- to achieve this honor.  Please help us teach and model appropriate skills for our students each day so that we can continue this tradition of excellence!
