The school consists of 2 elementary classroom buildings, 2 middle school classroom buildings, 2 high school classroom buildings, (including band, chorus and art facilities), a media center, full service cafeteria with stage, administrative building, covered elementary PE pavilion, and outdoor amphitheater area. The school is scheduled to open a state of the art science classroom building in the fall of 2007.
The Bucks enjoy competing in our air conditioned gymnasium, on our brand new (2007) baseball facility, softball field, tennis courts, track and field area as well as a beautiful football stadium (shared by other county schools) located on our campus. A soccer field and driver's education range are planned for the future. |
The School is named for veteran school board member, Deane Bozeman, who gave twenty-eight years of service to the Bay County School Board. Bozeman holds the distinction of being the second woman in history to be elected to the Bay County School Board. She spent many hours volunteering at the new school. Mrs. Bozeman still visits frequently and our students enjoy meeting their school's namesake. In 2004, after input from faculty, students and parents, the school name was changed to Deane Bozeman School to better reflect our Pre-kindergarten-12th grade configuration.
