Karrie Bradshaw

This is Mrs. Bradshaw's 19th year of teaching, with 15 years in Kindergarten. She started at Deer Point the first year it opened.  She is a graduate of Florida State University.  Her husband is an MRI Technologist.  She has 21 year old triplets Erin, Patrick and Sara.  They also have a little one, Shay, who will start at Mowat this year.  She enjoys DIY crafting and shopping. 


 


Alicia Lashley

Mrs. Lashley grew up in Panama City. She graduated from UWF with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught for 20 years, 17 of those years have been in Kindergarten. This will be her 4th year at Deer Point. She is married to Mr. Lashley, who is also a teacher at Mowat. She has three children, Hannah (17), Brayden (13) and Abby (10). In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family, go to church, read, swim, and cheer on the Noles!
 

 

Susan Kolmetz

Mrs. Kolmetz was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University. This will be her 15th year teaching, her 13th year teaching Kindergarten, and her 8th year at Deer Point. Mrs. Kolmetz and her husband, Marcus, and have two daughters. Emma (8th grade) and Sara (7th grade) are both in the Pre-AP program at Mowat Middle School. Mrs. Kolmetz enjoys reading on her Kindle, mocha lattes, and dark chocolate!

Kim Lee

 Mrs. Lee is a native of Panama City and a graduate of Florida State University. She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Specialist Degree in Reading and Language Arts as well as endorsements in Reading and ESOL. Mrs. Lee has twenty years of teaching experience including teaching kindergarten, first grade, second grade, reading intervention specialist, and has served as a district reading coach. She has been on the faculty at Deer Point Elementary from it’s inaugural year and has a passion for this school and it’s students. She believes that learning should be fun and that ALL students can be successful. Mrs. Lee and her husband Doug have two children: Lauren (12) and Brady (9). In her spare time she enjoys outings with her family, reading on her KINDLE, spending time at the beach, and chocolate chip cookies!

 Tiffany Nelson

Mrs. Nelson is a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. GO NOLES! She also has her National Board Certification in Literacy. Mrs. Nelson was born and raised in Panama City, Fl. This will be her 13th year teaching and 7th year at Deer Point Elementary. Mrs. Nelson and her high school sweetheart Brent Nelson have 2 sons Trent (14) and Brayden (9) both boys play A LOT of baseball! Teaching Kindergarten is her passion and she always tries to make learning fun as a Nelson Nemo!

Lindsay Smith

Mrs. Smith has lived in the Panama City area since she was two years old. She graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Smith has worked with pre-k and kindergarten aged children for three years and is excited to be teaching her third year of kindergarten at Deer Point Elementary. Outside of school, Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her family, reading, going to the beach, and watching sports, especially the Florida State Seminoles! Mrs. Smith is looking forward to a wonderful year. Go Anglers!!
