First opened in 1950, Everitt has served the east side of Bay County well. Many of the Bay County school district's teachers, principals, superintendents, and board members have at one time in their lives, either been schooled at Everitt or have been a part of their faculty. From 1950-1986, the school operated as Everitt Junior High School with 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students in attendance. In 1986, Bay County shifted to a middle school concept and Everitt Junior High changed it's name to Everitt Middle School and began serving 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Currently the enrollment is around 750 students with approximately 106 faculty and staff.
Throughout the years the EAGLE, our mascot, has remained the same. We are very proud of the community support we receive, and look forward to many more years of educating our youth for the future.
