The purpose of the Hiland Park PTO is to improve the interaction
of parents, students, and teachers to enrich our children's lives
educationally and socially.
We will accomplish this by providing strong links of communication,
volunteer opportunities, and a supportive environment. The commitment
to our children will promote a positive learning environment as
they become lifelong learners and as we become partners for excellence
in education.
Welcome to the 2008-2009 School Year
PTO NEWS:
I hope everyone is settling back into the school routine. The children
looked eager to be back and see many of their friends and teachers
they missed over the summer.
Here is a brief run down on what’s happening with PTO. First I
would like to thank the board and committee members who have helped
out all summer, we got a lot accomplished and I could not have done
it without all of you and your support.
We held a back to school lunch for the teachers and they enjoyed
it very much. We also sent home membership forms and brick order
forms in the parent packets.
I would like to thank the many of who have sent in your forms and
joined PTO and also for all of you who have inquired about PTO and
wanting to get involved. We are looking to a Fun and Exciting year.
We will be contacting you over the next few weeks to answer your
questions or concerns and finding out ways for you to help.
Volunteer opportunities are available through out the year, and
please know that any amount of time you can give is greatly appreciated.
Our first PTO meeting will be Monday August 25 at 6:30 in the media
center. We will have samples of the cookie dough we will be doing
as our first fundraiser. Hope to see you there if you can make it.
Once again the PTO board welcomes you and is available to answer
any questions you may have. Contact us at hilandparkpto@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
Denise Watson
