This program prepares you for employment at entry level in the air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating industry. Instruction includes the theory and application of installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment. 

Program Structure: Students will work on residential and commercial HVAC systems, residential and commercial refrigeration systems, as well as learn customer service skills.The method of instruction is individualized, and competency-based. It is divided into four Occupational Completion Points (OCPs) that prepare students for different levels within the industry. Interest students should enjoy working with tools and equipment in a variety of settings.

Admission Requirements
: 16 years or older

Basic Skills: Unless exempt, students' competency in reading, math, and language are assessed within six (6) weeks of program entry using the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). Required basic skill grade levels are: Reading 9, Math 10A, and Language 9.
