Student Services

 Welcome to Haney!Haney Technical Center

"Your career starts here!"

The Office of Admissions, also known as Student Services, is typically the first place to go in your journey at Haney. Student Services is located on the first floor of the Administration Building (Building 1). Within this area are the receptionist, guidance counselor, career specialist, cashier, and book store.

Information about programs, courses, student records, transcript requests, parking decals, class schedules, and more are found in Student Services.

To learn more about a program or enroll, Student Services is your first stop.

Counseling

A guidance counselor and a career specialist are available to assist students and prospective students with course selection, educational planning, and any concerns they may have regarding Haney. Counselors work with students in a confidential manner to explore career aspirations, aptitudes, interests, and any special concerns. Counselors are located on the first floor of Building 1 and are available 7:30am-2:30pm.

Parking

(Bay District School Board Policy 7.307) Students are to park in designated parking areas only. Students who park in unauthorized areas may lose the privilege of parking on campus and/or the car may be towed at the expense of the student. No student may loiter in or around vehicles in the parking area or areas. Students shall not occupy vehicles during class hours, between classes, or before or after school, except as they arrive and leave for the school day. Students may not smoke in their vehicles on school property. If a student fails to observe the procedures herein, the principal may revoke his/her privilege of driving a vehicle to school. Please lock your car while on campus. A Student Vehicle Use Policies form must be signed and a parking decal must be purchased for $5 in Student Services.

Transcripts

A student may request, in writing, an official transcript of his/her school record. This request should be addressed to Student Services. A Transcript Request Form is available online here or in Student Services. The transcript will be sent directly to the institution where the student plans to register or to any other official agency. The student may also receive an individual copy of his/her transcript. The cost for each transcript will be $5. Payment may be made in person or via Bay District Schools Online School Payments (opens in new window). Please allow at least two business days for processing. To fax your request, send to (850) 747-5555.

Transportation

In compliance with Bay District School Board Policy 7.205, bus drop-off and pick-up will be provided for High School students who attend Haney. Students will follow all bus rules established by the driver. Students are to remain seated at all times while on the bus. Remember: riding the bus is a privilege, not a right. Bus drop off and pick up will be in the rear of Building 1. Buses will not leave before school is dismissed. There will be no need to leave class early in order to catch the bus. If a student is left at school, the student must make other arrangements to get home. Students wishing to ride a bus different from the one assigned must have a permission slip from home and approval from a school administrator. Students must see an administrator before 1:00 p.m. to obtain approval. Transportation can also be arranged with Bay Coordinated (785-0808) and Bay Town Trolley (769-0557).
