Admission

Individuals may apply for full-time or part-time admission. Most of the training programs at Tom P. Haney Technical Center have minimum admission or state licensure requirements. Applicants should have the basic skills necessary for potential success in the training program and the career field they have chosen. Classes are available to assist students in improving basic skills.

Step 1: Applicants meet with a counselor to review program offerings. Counselors are available in Building 1 to assist students:

Monday & Wednesday, 7:15 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 7:15 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
(Summer schedule may vary.)

Step 2: Complete an admission application. Print and bring the application with you when registering.

Step 3: Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) at one of the scheduled times.

Step 4: Determine your method of payment. All fees (registration, tuition, lab, student activity, tool box, etc.) must be paid at the time of registration. Out of state fees will be charged to students who have not established one year of Florida residency. Registration will not be officially complete until all fees are paid in full. Most programs are individualized, whereby students register during the week and enter classes the following week.

Step 5: Enroll in the Registration Office

The Registration Office is open
Monday & Wednesday, 7:15 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 7:15 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
