Cooperative education is a method of instruction whereby students participate in a planned and supervised educational opportunity by receiving a portion of their technical training while working on the job. This allows students to “Earn While They Learn” in the work environment. The training is carried out following a training plan prepared by the school and agreed upon by the student, employer, and program instructor. Licensure programs are not included because of clinical requirements.
