| The Florida Workforce Innovation Act 2000 (under Federal Workforce Investment Act legislation) supports Florida's efforts to train workers for jobs in occupations that are in high demand in our local area. The Workforce Training Center is a state funded service provider offering educational training opportunities in vocational careers that are high-wage and high-demand occupations. Bay County residents who are either dislocated workers, economically disadvantaged, and/or those who have are receiving public assistance may be eligible for training and education-related expenses through Work Force to help pay for school. Job placement assistance is offered after training is completed. For information about whether funds are available and whether you are eligible to receive tuition assistance, please call the Workforce Case Manager, Cheryl Grinslade, at (850) 747-5500 ext. 5131. Workforce Training Services is located in the Registrar's Office in Building 1. |
