School Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Medicine at school -- The only acceptable manner in which medicine (prescription or non-prescription, even aspirin and cough drops) can be housed at school is for a physician to complete the “Permission to Administer Medication” form, available at all medical offices. That completed form, along with the medicine, should be delivered to the office by an adult. Remember a new “Permission to Administer Medication” form, signed by the doctor and parent, must be provided at the beginning of each school year. At no time should children transport medicine to and from school.
How is your child getting home? -- If your child is going to ride a different bus than usual or get off at a different stop than usual, your child must have a signed note by you giving permission to do so. Your child then must have the office stamp the note before noon. Also, teachers are asked to send children to their regular dismissal (bike, walk, bus, etc.) unless you send a note that day specifying otherwise.
Parents, Volunteers and Visitors on Campus: -- When coming on campus all MUST report to the office upon arrival, except if escorting a tardy student. Students being checked out will be called to the office. No students will be dismissed from classrooms before the 1:52pm bell.
Pre-approved family leave form: -- While it is very important for children to be in school, we understand that there are times when it is important or necessary for your child to be out of school because of family plans. If this is the case, please talk to the teacher in advance about applying for pre-approved family leave. Students may be excused for up to 5 days per year if they meet certain criteria. Forms are available in the office.
To keep LHES students safe PLEASE use caution around arrival & dismissal times:
9th Street PE Pavilion Car Drop Off/Loading: From 7:20 am until 7:50 am and from 1:52 pm to 2:05 pm
10th Street Bus and Day Care Drop Off/Loading: 10th Street to Georgia is bus/daycare traffic ONLY
Car Tags will be required beginning Tuesday, September 6. After this date if you do not have a car tag you will have to go to the office for verification on the registration card.
If you choose to pick-up your child at their classroom please be there at 1:52 pm when the bell rings. If you are not there when the parent pick up bell rings your child will be directed to the PE Pavilion. This will ensure that your child is supervised until you arrive to pick him/her up. If you have more than one child to pick up it would be best for you to meet them at the PE Pavilion. Students are not to go to sibling’s classrooms because this could cause class disruption and the child is not supervised if for some reason the parent is not at the sibling’s classroom.
Thank you for your help to keep our Eagles Safe!

Welcome to Lynn Haven!
School volunteers are a vital part of Lynn Haven Elementary and we invite you to serve as a school volunteer! Serving as a school volunteer includes assisting in the classroom, the media center, book fairs, health screenings, school events and many other areas. Bay District School Board Policy requires all school volunteers to have a current Volunteer Application on file for each school year. This form has been sent home so be sure to complete it and return to your child’s teacher. Please be aware that it takes approximately 2-3 weeks for an application to be processed. We ask all volunteers sign in at the office and receive your badge from the office personnel when you arrive on campus.
Lynn Haven Elementary is collecting pop tabs to donate to Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House creates a home away from home to help families that travel long distances for their children to receive treatment. Send in your pop tabs to your child’s class and help LHES “go green” for a great cause.
