The Bay High School English Department offers a wide variety of English courses that enable students to communicate effectively in speech and writing. The English classes offer opportunities for students to respond appropriately to what they hear, read, and experience.

The English Curriculum includes regular courses that focus on fundamental skills required for successful FCAT completion and graduation requirements. In addition, the courses give students the opportunity to prepare for post-secondary education. The Honors Curriculum courses give the advanced students more challenging content and preparation for university English. The Dual-Enrollment courses allow students to earn college English credit from Gulf Coast Community College while still in high school. The AP and AICE courses allow students to earn college credit based on national or international examinations at the end of each course.
