
The Interact Club is a Rotary International service club for young people ages 14-18 years. Our mission is to help develop leadership skills and personal integrity, to demostrate helpfulness and respect for others, to better understand the value of individual responsibility and hard work, and to advance international understanding and good will.
Current Projects:
- 1st Place Homecoming Spirit Board
- Elected Joe Nichols and Whitney Whitaker as Interact Homecoming representatives
- Volunteered at the Haunted Trail
- Visited Lisenby Nursing Home at Christmas and Valentine's to give out treats
- Food Drive at Thanksgiving; Donated over 100 canned goods to the Salvation Army
- Rang the bell for Salvation Army at Christmas time
- Sent Erin Hardin and Katie Jernigan to RYLA Conference
- Raised money to fight Polio though the Purple Pinkie Project
- Raised over $800 for the American Cancer Society by having a team at Relay For Life through a carwash and Rent-A-Student
- Won the Spirit Trophy at Relay For Life
Requirements: Members are to be of good character, attend a minimum of 60% of regular meetings, and participate in several service projects throughout the year.
Meeting Time/Place: Every other Monday at 2:40pm in room 145
