6 classrooms
a library
a cafeteria
a teacher's lounge and
a principal's office.
Over the years our school added many things...
14 classrooms
1 media center and
1 P.E. pavillion.
In the 1990's our school added...
an outdoor stage
a kindergarten playground and
a parent center.
Also in the 1990's our school...
has renovated the existing facility and
constructed 8 additional classrooms.
Our Student Council...
*is very active
*holds elections for officers each fall
*established Cedar Grove Elementary as a bird sanctuary
*hosts skating parties
*serves as guides for visitors
*runs the Tiger Shop Student Store
*operates the Cedar Grove Elementary Recycling Center
*has recycled over 25,000 pounds of aluminum
*established the Dr. Sue G. Cochran Scholarship at Gulf Coast
Community College in 1991
*endowed the scholarship in the amount of $10,000 in 1994
*has presented 62 scholarships to former
Cedar Grove students
*decorated the cafeteria in school colors, blue and gold, and
named it the Tiger's Lair
*hosted pancake suppers to raise money
*helped pay for new chorus outfits
*is a sponsor for the 5th grade dances
*organized three trips for students to visit Washington, D.C. and
*participated with members of the community in the 1997
