Jinks Media Center

Our hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Parents and students are welcome to use the facilities in the Jinks Media Center at any time on Monday through Friday. Mr. David Fowler, our Media Specialist, and Mr. John Hayden, Media Assistant, can assist you with your information questions, as well as assist you in project design and development, including multimedia support for computer applications, such as computer-generated multimedia presentations.

Our media operations are divided into three broad areas of support:

1. Bookroom. Maintains a collection of over 10,000 items that can be checked out and used by students and staff.
   
2. Multimedia Room. Provides large-screen video and surround sound audio for our Instructional Television, VCR, DVD, as well as mulit-formatted computer generated videos, including high-speed streaming videos via the Internet.
3. Digital Reference Laboratory. Provides student access to a comprehensive collection of Internet-based reference resources that have been selected by our media staff for use in the academic environment. With Internet access, students can use our digital reference collection at shool or at home. Contact the Jinks Media Specialist for details.
