GTT- Gateway to Technology is an introductory course to pre-engineering and is a section of PLTW (Project Lead the Way). The U.S. is lagging behind other nations in producing engineers, both male and female. The Workfoce Board of Bay County has headed up this program along with linking the schools with engineering business partners. The goal is to get students interested in the field of engineering. Student Government- The purpose of SGA is to help students build leadership skills and become socially conscience citizens. SGA allows students to take the lead in planning projects and devotes time to community service projects throughout the school year. Contact - Michel Cooper
National Jr. Honors Society- The NJHS is a community service club made up of academically motivated students. All students who are inducted into the society must maintain a 3.5 GPA. Contact - Becky Hill
Journalism- This is a during school course that is highly competitive and academically challenging. The Journalism students learn and practice business principles, writing, design, and photography, as part of creating a digital publication. Contact - Louie Andrews
Beta Club- The Beta Club is a non-profit, leadership-service club. Students are expected to participate in service projects in the school. In the past these projects have included can food drives for the needy, delivering holiday cards to the elderly, reading to elementary students, collecting items for our service men in Iraq, and many other community projects. Culture Club- The Culture Club embraces cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity. Our guiding principle is respect for the integrity of all people. Mrs. Cecile Scoon is a Key player in the club's organization. Contact - Ola Brown
SWAT- Students Working Against Tobacco is a club of students promoting tobacco awareness in the schools. The club meets once a month and sponsor multiple events, including red ribbon week, school dances, and pep rallies. Contact - Michelle Stratton
Guitar Club- The purpose of the Guitar Club is to teach, direct, and instruct students to learn to play the guitar and to have a place to interact with others who are interested in music. Guitar Club members learn to read music, write songs, and implement different chord progressions and lead patterns. Math Counts- MATHCOUNTS is a national enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory.. Contact - Brenda Harned
FCS- This christian club meets monthly for worship and fellowship. FCS is non-demoniational and all students are invited to participate. Contact - Glennda Long
WJMS- The instructional television network at Jinks Middle School is operated by a team of highly-talented students, who specialize in one or more of the broadcasting specialties. These areas include audio and video production, lighting, and journalism. WJMS broadcasts each school morning throughout the school. Contact - David Fowler
