Mackin Publishers puts out a book talk on all the SSYRA books for 2010-2011, as well as other award winning books. It's a great source of information about the book and the author. |

Florida Reading Association (FRA) Children's Book Awards
Once again, Tommy Smith Elementary School will be participating in the FRA Children's Book Award during the 2010 - 2011 School Year. Teachers in Grades Pre-K - 2 will read all eight of the nominated books. The quality of literature on the list provides a wonderful opportunity for read aloud books to be part of our TSE literacy program. In April, students get to vote on their favorite book, and voting results are submitted to FRA to determine the winner.
