NOTES FROM GUIDANCE:

Good Health = Good Test Scores

Getting ready for a big exam requires more than
just studying.  Your child must be physically
fit, too.  So don't forget the following as your
child rpepares for big exams:

****Breakfast.  Get your child in the habit of
taking time for a nutritious breakfast every day.
Even toast and a piece of fruit will provide body and
brain energy.

**** Sleep.  Get your child into a regular sleep
routine. Then stick to it! Most children need at
least eight hours of sleep each night.

****Exercise.  Encourage your child to exercise every day.
Exercise increases oxygen to the brain and helps
with thinking and memory.

Welcome To Waller Elementary School Minimize

Welcome to Waller Elementary School
an "B" School

Waller's staff is committed to offering a quality education for each and every student lucky enough to attend our school. Waller teachers are often asked to present workshops for teachers at other schools and for the Bay District School System. Our school, a Title One school wide project, is focused on our School Improvement Goal of improving reading achievement for all students through the use of quality literature and improved writing skills.

The Waller staff takes pride in our award-winning parent involvement program. Parents are urged to be actively involved in the education of children. Some of the ways you can help children succeed in school include: reading to them daily, joining PTO or the Advisory Council, volunteering at school, getting to know your child's teacher, visiting the school, and being an example of responsibility.

We hope you will visit often and say with us, "Go Wildcats!"
