Springfield Elementary School - Member Expectations

We Expect Students to:
• Always be kind and treat others the way you would like to be treated
• Listen and follow the directions of ALL school personnel
• Respect school property and the property of others
• Be responsible for what you say and do
• Be prepared and on time

We Expect Teachers to:
• Establish rapport and respect for all students.
• Teach, support, and implement the school-wide positive intervention plan. including the use of Conflict Resolution, Character Education, Daily Oral Language with character, and Peer Mediation.
• Respect the individuality of the child by addressing the behavior, not the person.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and lessons that meet individual learning styles
• Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and administration.

We Expect the Administrators to:
• Establish rapport and respect for all students.
• Encourage and support the school-wide positive intervention plan.
• Maintain an open-door policy with faculty and staff.

We Expect Parents to:
• Become involved with their child(ren)’s learning process (attending parent conferences)
• Have students arrive and be picked up on time
• Support decisions made by the administrator and teachers

We Expect School Support Personnel to:
• Establish rapport and respect for all students
• Implement and support the school-wide positive intervention plan under the direction/guidance of the instructional staff
• Recognize the integral part they play in maintaining our school-wide positive intervention plan

We Expect District Support Staff to:
• Provide clear, precise district policy guidelines
• Support the school’s implementation of the school-wide positive intervention plan and district policy guidelines
• Support the school’s decisions regarding student educational programs
