Positive Behavior Support Project

Families, Tommy Smith is so proud to be involved with the Positive Behavior Support program. This program is built upon the foundation that:
     We teach academics...We teach behavior.
We have three school wide expectations:
Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible.

In each classroom, the students and teachers have built upon these three expectations to establish the classroom rules. We are working each and every day on teaching behaviors through the use of our school wide expectations and rules.

Specifically, we are working on our cafeteria and morning arrival expectations and rules. Our cafeteria is called the SELF CONTROL CAFÉ and classical music is playing in the background in order to set the tone for a positive atmosphere. Come join us for lunch and see what we are doing together! Also, please note the Lunchroom and Arrival Expectation and Rules posted in every classroom as well as hallway areas.

Families, you are part of this program:  Please model and teach the appropriate behaviors when you are on our campus.
